Well, it has been a gloomy-cold Saturday, but seemingly people in Garissa Town were beaming with joy after Opposition Leader Raila Odinga visited the North Eastern Town in a move seen by critics as a way to appease Somalis to back him up in fight for Electoral reforms.
Garissa town is home to
Jubilee’s mouthpiece and Majority Leader Aden Duale. Raila’s move to tour Duale’s
region will definitely be a thorny issue to the Jubilee government given that the
government had toured the region a fortnight ago and they didn’t receive the
warm welcome Baba did.
Anyway, I have managed
to get a couple of photos [courtesy of @CODIDA / Twitter] showing Garissa people in attendance during CORD’s Garissa
rally.
