Well well well…. Today happened to be a theatrical day in Kenya’s
parliament after CORD MPs barred the Speaker Justin Muturi from accessing the National
Assembly Chambers to discuss the Tuesday's special sitting called by the House Majority
leader Aden Duale.
The CORD legislators called the blockade after it emerged that the
Jubilee Administration wanted to amend the negotiated elections laws in order to
allow for a manual backup system for the voting,
transmission and tallying of election results.
The Opposition legislators argued that allowing manual voting in coming
elections would lead to massive rigging by the incumbent.
"This needy greedy
plot by Jubilee to rig elections in 2017 cannot be allowed," Embakasi
South MP Irshad Sumra said.
Well, Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo took things to another level when she
angrily addressed the media calling President Uhuru Kenyatta all sorts of names….
"Uhuru does not
even compare to me wacha Raila Odinga , mwambie Uhuru yeye ni mshenzi , mwizi,
ni fisi and my consents tell me he is extremely stupid," shouted
Odhiambo at the Parliament buildings.
